Tens of thousands of people took to Market Street on Jan. 21 to demonstrate for women’s rights just one day after President Donald Trump was sworn into office.
The crowd, estimated at more than 100,000 people, gathered for a two-hour rally and then marched down Market Street in the pouring rain.

The Women’s March in San Francisco was one of hundreds reported across the country. The largest march took place in Washington, D.C., with an estimated half a million people. The event also spread globally with women marching in Berlin, London, Paris, Sydney and Cape Town.
